I downloaded the watchmen app on my iphone, and the trailers are cool. But, after reading through the character and plot synopses my doubt began to grow. and then i got the brilliant idea that i needed to read to the book again before watching the movie... halfway through for the i don't know how manyeth time and i've decided: how it can ever be good as 'not a comic book' i dunno. plus i saw spirit in the theatre last weekend and want my money back, so yeah. I'm holding out hope, though, as it is one of my absolute favorite stories. The movie is supposed to be as accurate to the source material as possible without actually BEING a comic book, so I'm extra excited about that.
