So I caved in (to what, I’m not really sure) and decided to write an “About” page. Maybe this’ll help contextualize the comic for people. Was there a problem with that before? Who knows?…

About the comic: So the Jason Lux and his “universe” is a universe I’ve been drawing and writing since I was about nine. He used to be a couple years older than however old I happened to be at the time. He was supposed to be the savvy, sarcastic version of myself that I wished I could be. As time went on, though, our ages became the same, and instead of writing him the way I wished I could be, I wrote him as a parallel to myself. I decided that I wasn’t as cool as Jason because I didn’t know how to be, and they say “write what you know.” When I started thinking about Jason for a larger audience, I knew had to pick an age and stick with it. The version of Jason you see in these comics is 16 years old, and he’ll age before your very eyes in (relatively) real-time.
